Atlasaurus

Atlasaurus was a large herbivorous dinosaur from the Mid Jurassic Period of Morocco, living about 165 million years ago. It was named for the Atlas Mountain Range for which it was found in and the Titan which gave the mountains their name (a god who lifted the Heavens) based off its huge stature. Atlasaurus got over 50 feet long, 25 feet tall, and weighed an approximate 24 tons. Atlasaurus was also notable for its unusual build for a sauropod, possessing a shorter neck, larger head, and longer limbs.
