Carcharodontosaurus

Carcharodontosaurus was a large carnivore from the mid Cretaceous period in Africa, about 100 million years ago. It was a giant among the meat eating dinosaurs, only being rivaled in size by its similar cousin Giganotosaurus, the heavier T. rex, and it’s contemporary, the Spinosaurus. It reached lengths of 45 feet long, and weighed up to 7 tons, and used its knife-like teeth that gave this “shark toothed” reptile it’s name to slice the flesh of its prey.
