Dakotaraptor
Dakotaraptor was a large dromaeosaur carnivore from Late Cretaceous Period North America, living about 66 mya. Dakotaraptor was impressively large for a raptorid dinosaur, only being beat out for the title of largest in the group by its Western cousin, Utahraptor. It got 18 feet long and over 6 feet tall, weighing 800 lbs. Like other raptorid dinosaurs, it had a single large sickle claw on the raised inner toe for slashing & grabbing. This killer claw was as long as half of Dakotaraptor’s skull.
