Dilophosaurus

Dilophosaurus was a mid sized predatory dinosaur from the North American Jurassic period, roughly 193 million years ago. Named after the twin pairs of large flat crests adorning its head, these are thought to have been display features to impress mates or intimidate rivals. At over 20 feet long, 7 feet tall, and weighing nearly half a ton- this carnivore was not the frilled, venom spitting, pipsqueak you may have seen in films.
