Dire Wolf
Aenocyon dirus, or the dire wolf, was a large canid that lived during the Pleistocene period in North America, only going extinct about 10,000 years ago. Despite its name, this large canine was more closely related to dingos than true wolves. It used numbers, its heavily built frame, and it’s strong jaws to take down prey.
