Eocarcharia
Eocarcharia was a mid-sized carnivorous dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous period of Niger, living about 112 million years ago. Distinctive for the pronounced brow of bone over the eye, Eocarcharia would have used it’s sharply serrated teeth to shred the flesh of herbivorous dinosaurs in its environment. Eocarcharia could have reached 26 feet in length, 7 feet in height, and weighed over 2000 lbs. It was notable for being one of the earliest of the carcharodontosaur lineage, leading to giants such as Giganotosaurus.
