Gallilunoides
Gallinuloides was a small bird from North America during the Eocene Period, about 48 million years ago. It was a small shore bird - probably picking up small fish and crustacean remains on the beach. Gallinuloides was also a relatively small animal, only getting about as large as a chicken. Known for its often incredibly well preservation, it has taught evolutionary paleontologists much on the evolution of birds throughout deep time.
