Majungasaurus

Majungasaurus was a mid sized carnivore from the Late Cretaceous period Madagascar, about 66 mya. This bulldog-snouted predator had a heavily armored yet flexible skull. It also had incredibly powerful legs and neck, but vestigial arms. This has led to theories that the predator hunted by running prey down, slamming it with its thick snout to stun it, then standing it up and eating down its body whole, similar to snakes. At over 20 feet long, 5 feet tall, and 2.5 tons, it was the top predator of its environment.
