Phosphatodraco was a large pterosaur (flying reptile) from the Late Cretaceous period, 66 mya. From Morocco, this animal is the first pterosaur to have been found in North Africa. Phosphatodraco belongs to the family Azhdarchidae, which included the largest flying animal ever, Quetzalcoatlus. Coined “hell storks”, they were giant flying reptiles that would use their big bodies, powerful necks, & sharp beaks to prey on anything man sized, including small/young dinosaurs! Phosphatodraco had a wingspan of 16 feet & stood at 6 feet.
