Pinacosaurus

Pinacosaurus was a medium sized herbivorous dinosaur from Late Cretaceous Mongolia and China, living about 80 million years ago. Closely related to Ankylosaurus, this species of dinosaur was similar, but smaller and spider, with fewer large, plate-like scutes. This family of dinosaurs has shown significant evidence for digging small and shallow burrows for shade or to push through sand storms, sometimes being excavated in an old burrow!
