Pteranodon

Pteranodon was a large species of pterosaur (non-dinosaur flying reptile) that soared the North American skies during the Late Cretaceous period, about 70 million years ago. Despite its massive 25 foot wing span, it wouldn’t have typically dined on terrestrial species like us as you see in the movies, but fish instead! The crest on the back of its head was likely for display as we can tell the difference between males and females by its size and shape!
