Rebbachisaurus
Rebbachisaurus was a large sauropod (or long-necked) dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period of Northern Africa, living about 97 million years ago. A late surviving member of the Diplodocid family, which had mostly gone extinct at the end of the Jurassic Period, Rebbachisaurus retains the peg-like teeth and whip tail distinctive to this group. It was also notable for its unusually tall back vertebrae, leaving the animal with a ridged sail-backed appearance. Rebbachisaurus attained sizes of over 66 feet long, 20 feet tall, and weighed over 44 tons.
