Siroccopteryx
Siroccopteryx was a pterosaur (flying reptile) from the Cretaceous Period of Morocco, living about 100 million years ago. It was a large animal, with a wingspan of over 16 feet. The long thin jaws of Siroccopteryx were filled with large, curved, sharp teeth. These were most likely used to hunt its primary prey source, fish. The function of the ridges on its snout are still unknown, but it is theorized they were likely used for signaling or mating displays with members of the same species.
