Deltadromeus Tooth

An authentic fossil tooth to the mysterious African carnivorous dinosaur, Deltadromeus. This beautiful piece from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco not only has flawlessly preserved enamel, but impeccable serrations running down either side. Comes on a custom hardwood stand. Deltadromeus was a carnivorous theropod dinosaur from the Mid Cretaceous period in Northern Africa, about 100 million years ago. It is known from somewhat fragmentary remains, including a complete lack of skull material. Because of this, we are unsure of the appearance of Deltadromeus, but the best theories propose it was a (non raptor) Megaraptoran, or a snaggle toothed Noasaur. The current size estimations put it at 27 feet long, 7 feet tall, & 1 ton in weight.

Tooth is approx. 0.5" long, 2" tall on mount, base dimensions are about 1"x 1".
