Edmontosaurus Jaw Piece

This amazing real jaw fragment belonged to the giant duck-billed herbivore, Edmontosaurus, and was found in the late Cretaceous rock of Montana. Edmontosaurus had dental batteries, meaning jaws such as this contained hundreds of teeth all compounded together into one chewing block. This, along with help from the beak, aided Edmontosaurus in being one of history's most efficient eaters. This incredible Jaw piece displays this, and is an incredible piece for any display or collection. Comes on a custom hardwood stand. Edmontosaurus was a duck-billed hadrosaur dinosaur from the North American Late Cretaceous Period. It has been found throughout much of the United States and even commonly in southern Canada, It was a large herbivore, getting nearly 40 feet long. An Edmontosaurus found named Dakota is one of the few “dinosaur mummies” ever found, with preserved skin, tissue, and even organs- giving a rare glimpse into the biology of this dinosaur.
