Mosasaurus Teeth

Authentic fossil teeth to the fearsome iconic aquatic predator, Mosasaurus, from the Kem Kem Beds in Morocco. Beautiful pieces of one of the largest marine apex predators to have ever existed. Comes with a custom Green River Formation stone or hardwood base. Teeth will vary in size, look, and shape. Stone bases will vary in shape, Hardwood bases will vary in color in color and wood type. Mosasaurus was a large marine predator from the North American seas of the Late Cretaceous, about 66 mya. Despite its appearance and coexisting with dinosaurs, it’s not a member of the dinosaur family. Instead, it’s a huge aquatic lizard, most closely related to monitor lizards such as Komodo Dragons. It reached 50 feet in length and weighed over 10 tons. An apex predator of its ecosystem, it only competed with members of its own species and its close relatives such as Tylosaurus.

Sizing will vary, but variation option is in base style. Green river Formation stone bases are offered as well as custom hardwood bases.

Teeth will range between 1-2" in length along curve, on mount 2"-3" height, and base dimensions are typically approx 2"x2".
