Ornithomimus was a small omnivorous dinosaur from Late Cretaceous North America, about 66 million years ago. Among the fastest of dinosaurs, despite being 12 feet long, 6 feet tall, and over 350 lbs, it could hit ostrich speed- about 45 mph. Although its diet probably mostly consisted of plant material, its thought that Ornithomimus would also eat bugs, small mammals, lizards and occasionally even carrion.
