Raptorex Partial Skull Display

This gorgeous replica piece was molded off of the holotype (the original fossil found of a new species) specimen of the small Tyrannosaur species, Raptorex! All the fossil material actually found of the skull to this small carnivore was molded and reproduced as a cast here, where we engraved the missing pieces into its stunning custom hardwood stand. Raptorex was a small predatory dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period of Mongolia, about 75 million years ago. A small tyrannosaurid related to T. rex, some scientists have debated that this species is actually a juvenile of the large Tyrannosaur species Tarbosaurus. With long legs, thin jaws, and a gracile build, this Mongolian carnivore was built for hunting smaller, fast moving prey.

Skull plate is roughly 12" long, 6" tall on base. Base dimensions are roughly 8"x4".
