Therizinosaurus Claw Cast

This gargantuan claw cast belonged to the hand of Therizinosaurus. This animal's name means "scythe-lizard", and one can easily see why, with its biggest claws nearing 3 feet long! Comes on a custom hardwood stand. Therizinosaurus was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived in Late Cretaceous Mongolia, about 70 million years ago. A truly strange animal, despite its massive hand claws, bipedal gait, and belonging to the same group as the carnivorous dinosaurs, it dined solely on plants. Therizinosaurus likely achieved sizes of 17 feet tall, 33 feet long, and 5 tons. It likely used its distinctive and iconic hand claws to forage for plants.
