Tyrannosaurus Rex "Dynamo" Skull

This absolutely awe-inspiring cast skull is molded directly from the real Tyrannosaurus rex specimen, Dynamo. Everything from the massive serrated teeth, sheer intimidating size, and the overall power the skull commands makes this an absolute must have for any fan or collector of this iconic species, arguably the most powerful apex predator the world has ever seen. Dynamo’s skull fits snugly in a steel “grab around mount” standard to the Museum display industry that shows off this prehistoric predator’s fearsome maw. The replica skull is easily dismantled into 3 parts, and the mount can be made modular as well upon request. Includes laminated info card, or laminated sign for framing depending on preference. Tyrannosaurus rex lived 66 million years ago in the North American Cretaceous period. At 45 feet long, 20 feet tall, and 10 tons it is still arguably the largest land predator to have ever walked the earth. Although other meat eating dinosaurs were possibly longer than T. rex, none got as tall or as heavy. T. rex was the apex predator in it environment, taking down prey like Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Alamosaurus, and Edmontosaurus with possibly the most powerful bite of any animal to have ever lived. Tyrannosaurus was also most likely a cannibal, engaging in fights to the death where the winner would eat the loser. We know this from many adult T. rex specimens that are covered in scars which could have only been caused in a fight with another Tyrannosaur. Our specimen, Dynamo, is no exception. Not only is he covered in gouges and scratches that match T. rex teeth marks, he has a large puncture wound through the top of his snout and several on his cheek that are direct evidence for Dynamo being bitten by other T. rexes. However, these all show signs of healing, hinting Dynamo won these violent battles.

Skull is 60" long along curve, 24" wide, and approx. 44" tall. 64" tall on mount, base dimensions are 34"x20".
