This massive lower jaw was cast off a real Allosaurus fragilis'! The skull of the real specimen was entirely intact and beautifully preserved, and that translates to this exact copy cast. On its included hardwood stand, it makes for an incredible display for any collection or home! Allosaurus was a large predator from the North American Jurassic period, living about 145 million years ago. It’s been proposed it lived in groups, using numbers, massive claws, and blade like teeth to take down prey many times larger than itself. Allosaurus was by far the most successful theropod in its environment, several dozen specimens have been recovered by paleontologists, and is Utah’s own state fossil!
Lower jaw is approx. 30" long. Approx. 13" tall on stand. Base dimensions are roughly 26"x4".
