Allosaurus
Allosaurus was a large predator from the North American Jurassic period, living about 145 million years ago. It’s been proposed it lived in groups, using numbers, massive claws, and blade like teeth to take down prey many times larger than itself. Allosaurus was by far the most successful theropod in its environment, several dozen specimens have been recovered by paleontologists, and is Utah’s own state fossil!
