Allosaurus Vertebra

Allosaurus was an intimidating and iconic predatory dinosaur from the Jurassic. This authentic massive vertebrae showcases the awesome power of this animal and makes for an incredible piece to add to any collection. Comes on a stunning custom hardwood stand. The middle portion of the piece is the authentic fossil, with the edges of the vertebral processes and centrum being restored using casts of matching other real vertebra. Allosaurus was a large predator from the North American Jurassic period, living about 145 million years ago. It’s been proposed it lived in groups, using numbers, massive claws, and blade like teeth to take down prey many times larger than itself. Allosaurus was by far the most successful theropod in its environment, several dozen specimens have been recovered by paleontologists, and is Utah’s own state fossil!
