Dromaeosaurus Claw

This Dromaeosaurus claw cast was molded off of a real fossil, and allows one to easily see why the imposing raptor family became infamous for these "sickle" claws. Recurved in shape and elegantly lethal, this piece is a must have for any dinosaur fan, fossil collection, or scientific display. Comes on a custom hardwood stand. Wood type and color will vary. Dromaeosaurus was a carnivorous raptor dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period in North America, about 80 million years ago. It was about 7 feet long, 4 feet tall, and about 50 lbs. Dromaeosaurus was very similar to it’s Asian cousin, Velociraptor, in both size and shape. But despite their similarities, Dromaeosaurus was more robust and possessed a boxier skull. It may have used these features to consume tougher meat or even bone, opposed to the slicing method of other raptors.
